When you are organizing a wedding, one crucial aspect of the preparation is to decide who will be your photographer. Once you have chosen the photographer for your event, you and the photographer can discuss the type of photos you’d like and make a list of photos that must be taken. It is recommended that you request your photographer to take entertaining photos of your rings while you are having that chat. You would be astonished at how regularly people ignore this fact, and photographs of rings preserve your everlasting signs of affection.
No need to worry if your wedding photographer doesn’t get pictures of your rings! We’ve also included some advice on how to snap more original photos of your jewelry with a camera or cellphone.

Taking Better Pictures Of Your Ring
What is the best way to execute an imaginative and impressive ring photo?
It is not necessary to be an expert photographer or pay bloated amounts for camera gear in order to take outstanding pictures of your wedding bands. Having a basic knowledge of how your phone or camera works, an understanding of lighting, and being creative are all you need to get started.
Lighting
The single most critical element in any photograph is the illumination. Managing lighting is the key to how your photography subject will look. Jewelry tends to be captured optimally in what is referred to as “soft light”. What is the meaning of soft light, and how can we make it?
Hard Light
Diffused light is best understood in contrast to hard light. It is softer and less harsh in appearance. Bright sunlight on a clear day in the summertime is like hard light, where the light is hitting objects directly and producing well-defined shadows and areas of illumination. This gives jewelry a striking, powerful appearance, but it can also generate intense glares. Under intense illumination, the internal part of this wedding band made of deer antler looks chaotic!
Soft Light
On cloudy days when the sunlight passes through the haze of clouds, it illuminates everything more evenly and the shadows are less distinct. This is diffuse illumination, which has the effect of outlining objects and making the details more visible. The subject is still showing reflections, however these reflections are emphasizing the contours of the object. This is ideal for taking amazing pictures of your rings!
Locate soft lighting by selecting a window that is not exposed to any direct sunlight and is shaded. Employ a sheet of printer paper or a white piece of cloth to spread out the illumination. It’s that easy!
This quick and easy job was set up on the window ledge, and all it took was a makeshift phone stand and a sheet of paper to take a picture of this celestial meteorite band.
